1. Take a CD and place it on a cloth on a flat surface.
2. Then gently apply some polish( toothpaste or car paint cutting compound) on the damaged area of the disc.
3. After it is dried buff it with short strokes along the scratches (not across them).
4. Use a smooth cloth like a spectacle or a lens cleaner for buffing.
5. When you are satisfied that no scratches are visible, then wash the disc with water, allow it to dry and play it.
