Speed Up internet tricks

Easiest explanation of how to increase internet speed(broadband, gprs)

  1. Click the Start Button  > Run > Type in there "GPEDIT.MSC" >press enter.

  2. It opens a window titled as "Group Policy".

  3. Navigate to a tree like structure located on left side of the window.

  4. On thatClick on: Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration  >>>  Administrative Template > Network > QOS Packet Scheduler.

  5. Look for "Limit Reservable Bandwidth" in the Right Pane of the Window.

  6.  Double Click on the "Limit Reservable Bandwidth",  then the pop-up window that opens may show that Limit Reservable Bandwidth" is not configured but do not worry and proceed.

  7. Select Enabled and type 0 [i.e. fill in ZERO] in the Bandwidth limit (%) Box.

    Speed Up your internet 

    Following are some series of tricks that you may use to speed up your internet.
    1] go to desktop->My computer-(right click on)>properties->then go to HARDWARE tab> Device manager> now you will see a window named Device manager
    then click on Ports->Communication Port(double click on it and Open).
    after it gets opened you can see Communication Port properties.

    and now increase your "Bits per second" to 128000.
    and "Flow control" change to Hardware.

    1> Copy and paste about:config in your firefox address bar and press Enter.

    2> Now you can see a warning window for firefox, but don’t worry you should proceed. Click I’ll be care full,i promise!

    3> Copy and paste network.http.pipelining in the search bar. Now double click first line that says just network.http.pipelining and double click it, which changes its value from ‘false’ to ‘true’.

    4> Now double click the second line that says network.http.pipelining.maxrequests and set the value in range of 15-30 if you have slow broadband and 50-100 if you have a descent internet connection.

    Speed Up Internet through Nokia Mobile Modem

    To use this Trick just follow these simple steps :

    1) Connect Nokia Mobile Modem to Computer and then to Internet.

    2) Click on the Network Activity Icon from Taskbar and then OTA Status of Nokia Mobile Modem would be opened  >>  Properties  >>  Configure  >>  Maximum Speed.


    3) Now the main part is here i.e. Now select the Maximum Speed from the Drop Down Menu and press Ok.

    4) Now Disconnect the Connection and Connect again to enjoy more Speed.

    For better results, We recommend that you should Restart yor Computer and then Connect again.

    How To Speed Up Internet Download Manager?

    1.First Install Internet Download Manager.
    2.Now open Downloads>options>connections.
    4.Change (Default max  .conn . number) From 8 To 16
    5.Click Ok And You Are Done.

    Tweaks for smoother browsing:
    1) Procedure for XP : The parameters of the network connection of the Windows XP computer must be changed to declare a new DNS servers. it can be done like this --

    • Click the Start button and then click Control Panel.
    • Click Network and Internet Connections.
    • Click on Network Connections.
    • Double click the icon for your network connection.
    • Click the Properties button.
    • Double click the item Internet Protocol (TCP / IP).
    • Select Use the DNS server addresses on this windows.
    • Then enter the Preferred DNS server field the first DNS server address to use for Google 8.8.8.8 Public or DNS to OpenDNS 208.67.222.222.
    • Then enter the DNS server field the second DNS server address to use for Google 8.8.4.4 Public or DNS to OpenDNS 208.67.220.220.
    • Click OK twice and then click Close.
    • Reboot the system. The new settings are then applied. Launch your Web browser and visit your favorite sites. They should receive more smoothly and quickly.
     
    2) Procedure for Windows 7 : The New DNS servers definition in Windows 7 goes through the Network and Sharing center. It can be configured like this--

    • Click the Start button and then click Control Panel.
    • Click Network and Internet.
    • Click Network and Sharing Center.
    • In the left pane, click Change settings of the card.
    • Double click the icon for your network connection (this can be a cable connection or wireless).
    • Click the Properties button.
    • Double click on the icon Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
    • Select Use the DNS server addresses.
    • Then enter the Preferred DNS server field the first DNS server address to use for Google 8.8.8.8 Public or DNS to OpenDNS 208.67.222.222.
    • Then enter the DNS server field the second DNS server address to use for Google 8.8.4.4 Public or DNS to OpenDNS 208.67.220.220.
    • Check the box Validate parameters and left click OK and Close.
    • The new settings are then applied and your network connection is verified. Click Close.
    • Launch your Web browser and visit your favorite sites. They should receive more smoothly and quickly.

    3) Procedure for Windows Vista is same as the procedure for Windows 7.
